As a Tour Guide with SE-Tours, you are the maestro of the guest experience. You are the friendly expert, the problem-solver, the local insider, and the source of endless enthusiasm. Your role is multifaceted and absolutely critical to our success.

Core Function Specific Responsibilities & Impact
Guest Relations & Information
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact and ambassador for our guests, providing a friendly and welcoming presence from start to finish.
  • Greet tour groups upon arrival and facilitate smooth guest departures.
  • Provide expert tourism-related information, historical context, and practical directions about the regions you travel through.
  • Manage guest support services, tending to individual needs and ensuring everyone feels cared for.
Tour Execution & Leadership
  • Prepare and conduct detailed pre-tour briefings to set expectations and build excitement for the day's cycling or excursion.
  • Expertly escort visitors to places of interest and supervise entertainment activities for guests.
  • Lead and manage your tourist group with confidence and charm, ensuring their safety and enjoyment at all times.
  • Organize entry to attractions and supervise special visits, handling any logistical challenges with ease.
Bike Logistics & Maintenance
  • Oversee the distribution, collection, and maintenance of our fleet of modern rental bikes.
  • Use hand tools to perform basic maintenance and repairs on the go (e.g., fixing a flat tire, adjusting brakes and gears).
  • Your craftsmanship ensures that every guest has a safe and reliable bike for their adventure.
Onboard & Excursion Support
  • Accompany cycling tours and coach excursions, providing interactive entertainment and insightful commentary.
  • Assist with the overall management of the guest experience on board the ship and during land-based activities.

What You Bring (The Essentials):

  • A Friendly & Professional Demeanor: A naturally welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and a consistently well-groomed appearance.
  • Teamwork & Reliability: A strong team player who is also capable of working independently and reliably managing their responsibilities.
  • Language Skills: Solid English skills (B1 - Intermediate) are required to communicate with international guests. German skills are a advantage but not mandatory.
  • Handyman Skills (Handwerkliches Geschick): A practical, can-do attitude and basic mechanical skills are crucial for bike maintenance and problem-solving on the go.

What's Nice to Have (But You Will Learn):

  • Formal experience in tour guiding or guest care.
  • In-depth historical knowledge of specific regions (this can be developed).
  • Fluency in additional European languages (e.g., Dutch, French).
